Leadership

Sisters Giving Back was founded in 2011 by a group of like-minded women who shared a dream to make a difference in the lives of African American young ladies.

Gail Gaskin Hannah

Her parents were the inspiration for Sisters Giving Back teaching her at an early age the value of earning an education and the importance of giving back. Gail wanted to be a change agent giving girls that look like her access to higher education and a better quality of life.

Gail is the Executive Director Eastern Region for a non-profit organization providing substance abuse and mental health services in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, DC.

Gail earned her bachelor degree in psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Business degree from Eastern University.

She is a recipient of the 2009 Mayor’s Making a Difference Award, has received several citations from the City of Philadelphia and has been recognized by several community organizations for her work and dedication in the community.

Gail is on the board of “Live & Love Life, a non-profit organization raising funds for cancer and recognizing cancer survivors and their families.

Her motto is, “I am no longer accepting the things that I cannot change. I am changing the things that I can no longer accept.”…Activist Angela Davis
